Anxiety
Dr. David Burns is a psychiatrist turned therapist who was tired of seeing so many of his patients continue to suffer with depression and anxiety despite trying multiple medications. He felt there was more he could do to help his patients. He discovered, as we all know, that therapy can make a significant difference in managing and healing from anxiety and depression. He wrote a super popular book that teaches us the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and helps people change their negative /anxious thinking.
Feeling Good by Dr. David Burns is one of the most popular “self help” books every written. This is the client’s guide to implementing CBT in their lives. It’s a very helpful read on its own but is also a great companion while in therapy.
Dr. Burns talks about why the tools in Feeling Good really work. Click HERE for his Ted Talk.
