We Are Not Our Thoughts…

any of us have a flurry of thoughts running through our heads all day long.  Some are like do-lists of things we need to do, but some are negative and harmful.  When we learn how to control our negative or racing thoughts, we experience a greater sense of wellbeing and calm.  Many people are not even aware of the multitude of negative thoughts they experience on a daily basis – or how these thoughts are affecting them.  Through therapy we learn where these negative thoughts and beliefs come from and how to change them.  When we are able to think positively about ourselves, we feel more calm, confident and capable.

I came across this video recently and thought is was a neat example of this concept.  Our thoughts are not our reality.  We are simply the observer and we can choose what we pay attention to…

“Change your thoughts and you change your world.”
